Adobe Goes Monster Style

Almost forgot to put up my images of web awards at SXSW.. Didn't bother staying for the show because, well this year it was lame.

Amazing party at Frog Design. Everything was well designed, though there were many technical difficulties. From unplugged RFID readers to video players crashing. Still, good party.

Microsoft lost again today, with a $240 million dollar judgment against them for using a certain technique to write out XML documents. It's a word processor writing text to a file, but somehow unique enough of an idea to net somone $240 million, and several lawyers millions more to boot.

AOL Seed Ready or not?

At 9:00 am, Friday March 12th, AOL was going to launch on the SXSW world it's crazy new lounge. From the pictures attached, you can see it did not happen. Is this telling of the product itself.

Open Flash Charts 2.0

It's hard to say this without sounding like a commercial, but the work of the group over at Open Flash Charts is worth talking about. Good AS3 libraries are troublesome enough to find and difficult to afford. That's why Open Flash charts is so important -- it's LGPL. Source code, full charting library, and great instructions and documentation. It's almost like the open source stuff can actually be useful.
